General Business Litigation

A contract is an enforceable agreement, and may be written or verbal. A breach of contract occurs when an enforceable agreement is violated by one or more parties to the agreement. Contracts are a common but critical part of any business, and breaches occur regularly. Whether the contract is for employment, goods, services or otherwise, BLF will help you understand your rights and obligations thereunder, and will file suit to secure your remedies when the contract has been breached—or defend you against claims of breach by others.

In South Carolina, wages and compensation for employment must be paid in a timely fashion by the employer; when employment is terminated or otherwise comes to an end, all wages and other compensation due to the employee must be paid within a specific number of days. If they are not, the employee may have a claim against the employer, and may be entitled to significant damages, as well as payment of the employee’s attorney’s fees incurred from filing suit. If your employer has failed to pay you what’s due after the job has ended, let BLF show you available options for recovery.
