In South Carolina, wages and compensation for employment must be paid in a timely fashion by the employer; when employment is terminated or otherwise comes to an end, all wages and other compensation due to the employee must be paid within a specific number of days. If they are not, the employee may have a claim against the employer, and may be entitled to significant damages, as well as payment of the employee’s attorney’s fees incurred from filing suit.
